A huge fan of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, when the idea behind John Cameron Mitchell's Shortbus was featured in the Village Voice, Alexis took notice.  She tracked the project as John was developing the idea and while at Cannes, she discussed the opportunity to work together.  Two years later Alexis had secured the majority of financing for Shortbus and the film went into production. 
 

Getting to Know played at over 75 festivals worldwide and garnered over 2 dozen top prizes.  With a cast including Dana Delaney (China Beach, Desperate Housewives,) Anne Ramsay (Mad About You, Six Feet Under,) Ian Gomez (Felicity,) Megan Cavanaugh (A League of Their Own) this film was poised to be a great favorite with audiences. 

Pretty Things is a documentary on the last generation of American 'Burlesque Queens' as told by a young woman searching to discover the lost art of burlesque dance.  The feature length documentary was purchased by and aired on HBO.

This was our first project in competition at Sundance.  All the racers brought their cars out and were driving up and down Main St. in Park City during the festival.  It was unreal.
